Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Claries (“we,” “us,” or “our”) and govern your use of all services available at claries.ai. By creating an account or using any Claries service, you agree to these Terms. Effective date: June 14, 2026

Our Services

Claries offers three subscription-based digital services. No physical goods are sold or shipped.

  • Managed WordPress Hosting — Claries hosts and fully manages your WordPress website, including security, updates, backups, content changes, and support. The Standard plan is $15/mo.
  • Claries AI ChatBot — WordPress Plugin — A WordPress plugin with a free core tier and an optional paid premium license that unlocks advanced features, higher rate limits, and multi-model support.
  • Claries AI Platform (Desktop App) — A desktop AI application. Free accounts include up to 5 agents and local AI inference. Early Access premium ($10/mo) unlocks additional agents, cloud AI routing, and early feature access.

Accounts and Registration

  • You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
  • One account per person. Accounts are non-transferable.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials. Claries is not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized access due to compromised credentials.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • Claries may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Subscriptions, Pricing, and Billing

All prices are in USD. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe — by subscribing, you also agree to Stripe’s terms. Claries reserves the right to change pricing with at least 30 days’ advance notice.

Managed WordPress Hosting

  • Plan: Standard ($15/mo).
  • Your subscription includes web hosting, WordPress and plugin updates, security monitoring, daily backups, content edits, and ongoing support.
  • Billing is monthly and renews automatically. You may cancel at any time — see Cancellation and Refunds below.
  • You must own or have the legal right to publish all content on your site. Your site may not be used for illegal activity, spam, phishing, or malware distribution.

AI ChatBot Plugin (Premium License)

  • The free plugin tier is available to any WordPress site owner at no charge.
  • Premium licenses are issued as CLRS-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX keys. Each key is activated to a single WordPress domain and may not be used on multiple domains simultaneously. To transfer a key to a new domain, contact [email protected].
  • License validity is checked against auth.claries.ai. A 24-hour grace period applies if the validation server is temporarily unreachable.
  • Claries may revoke a license if these Terms are violated. Your license remains active through the end of your current paid period after cancellation.

Claries AI Platform (Free Trial & Early Access)

  • Free account: No credit card required. Includes up to 5 agents and local AI inference. Available indefinitely.
  • Guest mode: You may use the app without an account in local/guest mode with limited features.
  • Early Access (premium): $10/mo. Includes a 30-day free trial. Your trial begins on the date you sign up. If you do not cancel before day 31, your payment method will be charged automatically and monthly billing will begin.
  • User-supplied API keys: Cloud AI routing requires you to provide your own API keys for third-party providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google). Claries stores these keys locally on your machine only and never transmits them to our servers. Claries is not responsible for any costs, charges, or usage incurred with third-party AI providers.

Cancellation and Refunds

  • You may cancel any subscription at any time through your account portal or by emailing [email protected].
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to the service until then.
  • We do not issue partial-month refunds for mid-cycle cancellations.
  • If Claries fails to deliver a service you paid for, you may be eligible for a prorated refund. Contact support to request one.
  • Claries may issue discretionary refunds on a case-by-case basis, but is not obligated to do so outside the circumstances above.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use any Claries service to:

  • Host, distribute, or transmit illegal content, spam, phishing material, or malware
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code or proprietary logic of Claries software
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute Claries services without prior written permission
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any Claries system, server, or user account
  • Use the services in any way that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law

Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

Intellectual Property

  • Claries retains all rights to its software, plugin, platform, API, branding, and documentation.
  • The free/open-source portions of the Claries AI ChatBot plugin are distributed under the GNU General Public License v2 or later (GPL v2+). Premium plugin features are proprietary and not covered by the GPL.
  • You retain full ownership of any content you publish on your Claries-hosted website. Claries does not claim any rights to your content.
  • You grant Claries a limited license to host and serve your content solely for the purpose of delivering the services you subscribed to.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Claries provides its services in good faith, but cannot guarantee everything will be perfect all the time. Here is what that means in plain terms:

  • We aim for high availability on our hosting platform, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime.
  • AI-generated responses from the chatbot or AI Platform may be inaccurate. Do not rely on them for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions.
  • Claries is not responsible for costs incurred from third-party AI providers when you use your own API keys.

Legal disclaimer: THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CLARIES’ TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO CLARIES IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. IN NO EVENT SHALL CLARIES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

Termination

  • By you: You may stop using Claries services at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account through the account portal.
  • By Claries: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. For serious violations (illegal content, fraud, abuse), termination may occur without prior notice. For less severe violations, we will attempt to notify you and give you an opportunity to correct the issue.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the services ends immediately. Claries will retain your billing records as required by law; all other personal data will be deleted within 30 days.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in that venue.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page and notify you by email and/or in-app notice. If you continue to use Claries services more than 30 days after the updated Terms are posted, you are agreeing to the revised Terms. If you disagree with material changes, you may cancel your subscription before they take effect.
